Went out geocaching this weekend. The boys had a blast and we found new places to explore.

What the hell is geocaching?  )

Here are two manips I did for [ profile] sardonicsmiley  's And You Loathe the Ground.  It took me forever and about 10 different screen shots to piece together a Rodney with bare shoulders, but I think the outcome worked.

I'm doing the craft meme thingie and I wanted to actually make something crafty rather than the whole virtual thing but I'm clueless on the whole shipping overseas. How much would it cost to ship something, say egg sized, overseas? I've never shipped out of the US so I have no idea what this would cost or if there are special requirements.I may have to resort to virtual gifts if the cost is prohibitive.

I liked the colors in this one and the way the light worked so nicely. Thought I would share.

First five to respond get something craftsy from me!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry. I may draw or paint something.
I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well.

I know it's been done but I had to wait to do it myself until I got my desktop back. They look better sitting closer together and the moon overhead. I feel complete now. :)

Oh, feel free to take it, use it, enjoy it.
The best most awesome way to piss off your 12-year-old...BEAT them at Sonic.

I began watching Stargate when it first started, when the only place you could watch it was HBO.  I loved Stargate SG1 for many years but I admit to drifting in later years. I still went back and finally caught all the episodes. I own all the DVD's and movies. When Stargate Atlantis started I was excited about the beginning of something new and I found a new love.  The characters were fresh and I loved the chemistry between John and Rodney. In all honesty, Stargate was the only reason I watched TV at all for many years. Nothing else struck me as it did and I doubt anything ever will again. I don't feel compelled to watch Stargate 90210 after they mocked my loyalty.

I spent some of this evening rewatching some of my earlier vids and I was caught in those moments, reminding myself all over again why I love Atlantis.  In remembrance of 5 wonderful years(okay 4 really) ten favorite episodes, in no particular order.

1. The Shrine
2. Grace Under Pressure
3. The Hive
4. Duet
5. Trinity
6. Tao of Rodney
7. Conversion
8. The Last Man
9. Miller's Crossing
10.Enemy at the Gate (in my world they go back to Pegasus and leave Keller on Earth).
I tag anyone who wants to take the time to tell everyone why you love Atlantis and give a list of your favorite episodes.

So we got the Wii for xmas and now I need some game recommendations. We have Wii Sports and Wii Play and Rayman. They boys love the sports and Rayman(especially the cow throwing and bunny kick).  What are some other games that are good for the whole family?

I've heard that Carnival is good but has anyone else played it? Any other suggestions?

Did radios work on the Kid planet with the shield up? I know that it was down most of the episode and they used radios but I can't recall if they worked while the shield was up. Everything else electronic was down so I'm not sure about the radios???

Spore is eating my brain.
So after watching 2 and a half seasons of Traders I want to write John/Grant porn.  It seems wrong to take advantage of the mentally ill that way, but I can't help what my brain comes up with.

I had to stop after 2 and half seasons because apparently my internet server has a Fair Use Policy that I abused. Ooops. That would explain the nonexistent internet speeds for the last couple of days.  It's so slow even the router won't work.  So no more Traders for me.  Well, at least not 4 eps a day. ;)  And not until I can get my bandwidth down to where I can actually load a page in under 5 minutes. LOL

After two days of harvesting pinon nuts I totally understand why they charge 25 dollars a pound for them.  It was fun though and the boys enjoyed it.  The youngest managed the first day but the draw of his BB gun was too much the second and we lost him to tin cans and grasshoppers. Apparently it is very cool to shoot grasshoppers.  I didn't personally witness the coolness of that particular venture so who's to say. LOL

We did collect about 15 pounds of nuts and now have to roast them.  We all had a good time and will probably do it again next year.  Besides, the nuts will make excellent xmas presents for family and friends.

When you see this, post a quote from Stargate Atlantis in your journal.

McKAY: Excuse me. Why am I lying here?

BECKETT: You have an arrow, Rodney, in your gluteus maximus.

McKAY: Oh. Well, that sounds painful.Gluteus maximus. Glootus ... maaxim ... Oh my God! That's my ass, isn't it?!
