Does anyone else love long long stories that you can totally fall into for a couple hours? Why hasn't someone done an archive or list of all the long (50,000 words or more) stories that are McShep?  Yeah, I've tried at Wraithbait, but their search engine leaves alot to be desired.

SG1 had a site for novel length stories that was a great place to go reread without having to search. Any takers?

This is the site for the Stargate novel archive...no SGA, but SG novels. http://sgnovels.shahrazad.net/

Yeah, I have that one bookmarked. I want one for SGA. Then I could go wallow in long fics for days on end. ;)

I know. I used to read stuff from there all the time.

While it's not exactly an open archive, have you tried the SGA Big Bang site? It's all long McShep fics.

Read all those. Thanks. It was a wonderful week of pure bliss.

Ahh, well, it was worth a shot.

You know, with things like eFiction it's not all that hard to get a site up and working, it's more the everyday stuff, and trying to recruit authors that takes a lot of work....

I could do a site, I just don't have the time. I want someone else to do it. LOL

I don't know shit about making websites, am at the moment not into reading SGA because too much crap popped up recently and I don't have time to deal with that, but how about you made a request for a site/archive at the sga-noticeboard? Maybe somebody who hangs around there has the time and talent? A lot of people in this fandom seem to have too much time on their hands anyway.

Whew, that came out much more snide than I intended ;-)

Take care

Might be worth a shot.

Please do!

What I really wanted to say in my previous entry but never got around to was I think it's a great idea - I'm sure some old re-readable favorites would pop up on that site and one didn't have to search around for them anymore! :-)

Take care
S.

Sometimes you just want to get lost in a long fic but get tired of the same ones all the time. I thought if they were all centrally located it would make it easier.

I have some long unbetaed snippets, some finished some not that will never get posted if you want me to send you them. They aren't necessarily good but they are readable. Just stuff I write for myself.

Other than that I can't think of anywhere other than the obvious places you have already tried. *hugs*

If you're in the mood, there are some long fics at harlequin sga http://community.livejournal.com/harlequin_sga/
As you might imagine from the title it uses harlequin type novels/ideas as its basis for the fics. Some don't like these but I love them. Maybe you'll find something you'll like?

btdt too. I just want a shiny place that has all the long fics in one place where I can go to escape reality. LOL
