Episode question

Did radios work on the Kid planet with the shield up? I know that it was down most of the episode and they used radios but I can't recall if they worked while the shield was up. Everything else electronic was down so I'm not sure about the radios???

I vaguely remember Rodney being all sweaty and adorably out of breath because he had to run to tell everyone the shield was back up, so I'm guessing the radios didn't work.

But I don't really remember either, sorry.

The radios didn't work - we have the dvds and have seen the episode more than once. Once Rodney pulled the ZPM, the shield went down and he called Shep on the radio - John was surprised to hear from him because the radios hadn't been working up to that point. Hope this helps!

McKAY (over radio): Major.

(Sheppard slaps his radio.)

SHEPPARD: McKay? (He stares down at the radio.) My radio's working.

(McKay and Ford are making their way through the forest. McKay sighs in exasperation.)

McKAY: Which is how I'm able to speak with you, yes. Do you have a second?
